Ellen Brodsky
Ellen Brodsky

Ellen Brodsky, PMP is co-founder and President of Telemark Productions. She began her work life as a concert pianist and piano teacher, but discovered, thanks to a misbehaving German Shepherd, that designing and producing interactive multimedia was really her forte. She went on to create award-winning educational software products, interactive books, courses, and websites for such companies as The Learning Company, Sysco Corporation, Salesforce.com, and LeapFrog Enterprises.

Dr. Brodsky was the content producer of Telemark's Guide to Dogs, the bulk of which has been licensed since 2000 to the IAMS Company, now part of Procter & Gamble. She lives in San Antonio, TX and is temporarily dogless.

Caroline Coile
Caroline Coile, Ph.D

Caroline Coile, Ph.D. has written 34 dog books, including the top-selling Encyclopedia of Dog Breeds. She's a regular columnist for Dog World and AKC Family Dog, and is an eight-time winner of the Dog Writers Association of America Maxwell Award (the Oscar of dog writing!). Caroline has also written about dogs for scientific journals, newspapers, websites, and television; has been quoted in Newsweek and USA Today; and has been a guest on NPR's Talk of the Nation.

Caroline has lived with dogs all of her life, and has competed in dog events since 1975, winning Best in Show, Best in Field, High in Trial obedience, and High in Trial agility awards. She lives on the banks of the Suwannee River with three Salukis and one Russell Terrier, who make sure she gets away from her desk regularly---and who convince her on a daily basis she doesn't know as much as about training dogs as she thought she did!

Warren Cook
Warren Cook

Warren Cook started out as a Marine Biologist, then launched his career as a dog photographer in 1967. He has been involved with Afghan Hounds since 1969, Salukis since 1974, Greyhounds since 1999, and now Portuguese Podengo Pequenos since 2009. He was the owner and training of the number one and two Open Field Dogs in 2003 and is an All Breed Open Field Coursing Judge. Warren has been married to Vicky Cook, another famous dog show photographer, for 37 years, who is better in everything than he is, except for swimming.

Bob Nicholson
Robert Nicholson

Robert Nicholson is a systems architect, technology manager, entrpreneur and business coach. His previous positions include Director of Engineering at Oracle, Engineering Group Manager at Silicon Graphics, Director of Engineering at Sun Microsystems, VP of Engineering at InterSurvey, VP of Engineering at Red Herring, VP of Marketing at Ratingz Inc, and VP of Technology at LunaGraphica Inc.

He was a co-producer of Telemark's Guide to Dogs on CD-ROM.

J. Anne Helgren
J. Anne Helgren

J. Anne Helgren is the Telemark Productions cat authority who wrote the 50 profile IAMS Cat Breed Library, for which she was awarded the Purina ProPlan Pedigreed Cats Award. Ms. Helgren has written six cat books published by Barron's Educational Series, Inc., including Barron's Encyclopedia of Cat Breeds, which received a Certificate of Excellence from the Cat Writers' Association (CWA), and Communicating with Your Cat which won CWA's top award, the Muse Medallion. Ms. Helgren has also written numerous articles for Cats Magazine, Cat Fancy and other magazines and web sites.

Born in Southern California, Ms. Helgren earned a BA degree from San Jose State University, California. She now lives in Placer County, California, with her husband and their family of spoiled felines. She supports the Placer SPCA in trapping, altering, and feeding feral and abandoned cats.

Anne Katona
Anne Katona

Anne Katona, Telemark’s purebred dog judging expert, is currently certified to judge 139 AKC breeds and has judged dog shows in Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Asia, South America, the United Kingdom and Europe.  She has also written articles for many dog magazines here in the United States and overseas.

Ms. Katona is a Kerry Blue Terrier enthusiast whose dogs won multiple Bests in Show and many other awards in the United States and Canada. Though the Kerry Blue Terrier will always be the love of her life, Anne stopped breeding dogs once she was approved to judge the Terrier Group. At present, she and her husband Jack are owned by a Maine Coon Cat named Steelar.

Nan Anastasia is a former newspaper editor and reporter, currently a freelance editor. She was managing editor of a group of weekly newspapers in New England, and has awards from the Suburban Newspaper Association and New England Press Association for editing and writing. She lives in Massachusetts, on Cape Cod Bay, and her heart currently belongs to a Schnoodle dog, half Poodle, half Miniature Schnauzer.
